Heirloom tomato with bocconcini and basil



Heirloom tomatoes are my summer favourite. I keep using them in salads and different dishes as long as I can find them in my local stores.

This simple authentic salad is what we all know how to make it. The taste of tomato the quality of olive oil and the type of balsamic vinegar used in this colourful dish make it exceptional. With no compromise in the quality of ingredients go for this simple dish with confidence.

Ingredients:


  • 3 heirloom tomatoes in different colours cut into slices( pick the ones that are not fully ripen)

  • 2 basil bunches

  • 1 container of bocconcini cheese cut in slices

  • 3 Tbsp balsamic vinegar

  • 3 Tbsp olive oil

  • Salt and pepper

Instructions:

  1. Place the tomatoes, cheese and basil like layers on a serving plate.

  2. In a small bowl whisk olive oil, balsamic vinegar and salt and pepper.

  3. Drizzle the dressing on tomatoes.
